A Portrait of Four Crosses 2021
In 2019 I started planning a photography project called “A Portrait of Four Crosses 2020” but I didn’t quite get it started in time, and then covid struck, so it seemed the wrong time to get it started.
That said, hopefully 2021 is going to be so much better! “A Portrait of Four Crosses 2021” is a community based project, collecting images of the families who live in Four Crosses outside their homes, the businesses that are based here and local scenes and events. It’s a bit like a pictorial census or a photographic time capsule for people to look back on in the generations to come. Images will be taken and collected throughout 2021 resulting in what I’m sure will be thousands of images. The best of these will be selected for a combined print and digital exhibition that would be available to view in 2022 and beyond.
As I said the project is community based and driven by good will and enthusiasm. If there are residents or business owners in the village who would like to help in any way, either by taking photos or helping with the exhibition side of things, then I would certainly appreciate your help. Also this is great opportunity for anyone looking to improve their photography or build a portfolio.
To get the ball rolling, you can contact me via my website at www.samsphotogallery.com/contact/ if you would like to help with the project and to opt-in to have your photo taken.
